What is Sober October?

Sober October is a month-long fitness competition incorporating cardio, strength, and different lifestyle habits. The goal is to accumulate as many points as possible by the end of the month.

Sober October’s mission is to combat destructive habits adults are facing nowadays. We give 50% of our profits to Project Fit America to empower youth with healthy habits from a young age.

FAQs

Important: Input the exact distances/ reps for each exercise. Scores account for partial distances/reps (ex: 1.34 miles, 56 pullups).


Run/ Walk: 1 Mile = 3 Points

Total miles covered by foot. Includes all foot activities. Whether you do a workout or work as a bartender, these are your total miles covered in a given day.


Bike: 1 Mile = 1 Point

Total miles covered on a bike. Outdoors or a stationary bike.


Swim: 1 Mile = 15 Points

Total yards covered swimming in open water or pool.


Pushups: 30 Pushups = 1 Point

Full range of motion push-ups. Knee push-ups do not count.


Pullups: 20 Pullups = 1 Point

Strict Pull Ups. No Kipping, No Bands for assistance.


Air Squat: 50 Squats = 1 Point

Full Range of motion air squats.


Meditation: 10 Minutes = 2 Points. 4 Points Max Daily

Caffeine: No Caffeine = 3 Points Daily Max.

We run on the honor system. There’s no prize for winning. We have a culture of high integrity and hold everyone to a high standard. If we feel an individual has inaccurately reported data we will review internally to adjust scores accurately.

    • 3 Cardio - Running/ Walking, Biking, Swimming
    • 3 Strength - Pushup, Pullup, Airsquat
    • 2 Extracurricular - Caffeine Abstinence, and mediation
    • These last two aren’t required but give extra points

  • Design your month to maximize your strengths and input your fitness data daily into your profile and see how you stack against the pack.

  • Whether your goal is to stay sober for an entire month or dethrone our reigning champion, you’ll be surrounded by a group of high performing individuals to help push you to the next level.
